Fetch Rewards App: How It Works, Receipt Rules and Referral Code

Affiliate disclosure: Some links or referral codes may earn The Review Log a commission or reward. Check the seller’s current offer before buying. Read our disclosure.

Fetch turns eligible shopping receipts into points you can put toward rewards. The useful part is getting something back from shopping you were already going to do. An extra purchase just to earn a few points can wipe out that saving pretty quickly.

How Fetch works

After shopping, scan your receipt and look over the points that appear. For a special offer, the pack size, quantity and purchase date can all matter. Hang on to the receipt until everything credits, especially if the app misses an item.

For online purchases, use the eligible connected-account or digital-receipt options shown in your app. A retailer appearing in an offer doesn’t mean every purchase from that retailer qualifies.

How long do you have to scan a receipt?

The Fetch FAQ says receipts must be submitted within 14 days and permits up to 35 receipts in a rolling seven-day period. “Rolling” means the limit doesn’t simply reset every Monday. Review the app’s current rules if an upload is rejected.

Submit only your own eligible receipts. Check the store, date and total in the scan before accepting it, and use the app’s correction or support process for missing information.

Redeeming points

Before collecting points for weeks, open the rewards catalog and find a gift card you would actually use. Look at how many points it needs. Brands, amounts and redemption costs can change, so it helps to know what you’re saving toward.

Is Fetch worth using?

Fetch makes the most sense when scanning a receipt takes a moment and the rewards fit your usual shopping. If you find yourself buying things just for points, take a step back and compare the actual cost. You may also prefer to skip a rewards app if you aren’t comfortable sharing purchase details.

An easy habit is to scan when you unpack your groceries, make sure the points look right and then leave it alone. There is no need to turn a small shopping reward into another daily chore.
